Dr Sherrill Carter, PhD, a native of Washington, DC began singing at a very young age. She is a songstress, actor, model, composer, and spoken word artist who goes by the stage name, “Jasper.” Upon developing as a professional singer, Jasper began to produce her music which covers diverse genres as she is a lover of "MUSIC." From jazz to classical, from rock to gospel. Oh and her spoken word pieces don't just talk to you but have an added musical background with vocals to lighten your journey.  In each song, you will find, "A Message in The Music!"

Although Jasper started singing early, she did not take singing serious until her years in college in Morgan State University's choir where she sang along with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and at the White House. She also sang with professional bands where she performed on BET Bobby Jones Gospel show as a featured artist with Outreach 24/7. She also performed on many videos and starred in a movie, plays, and short skits.  What sets Jasper apart from most is her ability to sing, create music and write lyrics while specializing in lead and background vocals.
